Most items on the scholarship application forms are self-explanatory. However, the following instructions and comments will assist you in providing the requested information.

Before you begin to fill in the forms, be sure that you understand what information is being requested. It is advisable to prepare your response in draft form before entering them on the application.

The following dates are important. Use them as a checklist in the application process:

• February 28th Deadline for submission of The Eastern States Blast Furnace and Coke  Oven Association “Jim Richardson Memorial” Scholarship. (FORMS A,
• February 28th Deadline for submission of High School Certification (FORM B) and High School Recommendation (FORM C).

Forms B & C

Please note that FORM B must be completed by the Principal, Assistant Principal or other administrative official at your high school. A transcript of your grades must be attached to this form as well as a copy of your SAT or ACT score if available.  If you are unable to upload the files, please email to theEasternStates@gmail.com.

FORM C should be completed by your Counselor, Adviser, or Teacher, who is familiar with your academic work and your other achievements.

It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that these forms are completed and submitted to The Eastern States Blast Furnace and Coke Oven Association before the February 28th deadline.
